William "Bill" Randolph Ogilvie, Jr

William "Bill" Randolph Ogilvie, Jr. age 53 passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Sulphur, Louisiana. He was born December 2, 1961 in Bartow, Florida the son of William Randolph Ogilvie, Sr. and Ora Lee Lingerfelt Ogilvie.

Bill was a graduate of Kathleen Senior High in Lakeland where he played football and was named Florida’s #1 wrestler. He later played semi-pro football for the Central Florida Bulldogs. Bill was a truck driver and for the last 15 years drove for Saddle Creek Trucking Company, earning various awards for his dedicated service. He loved cooking for family, fishing with his son, watching football and wrestling. Bill was a “big man” with an even bigger heart. He was devoted to his mother, taking care of her until her passing. Bill was a dedicated father and best friend to his son. His granddaughters were the “light of his life” and he cherished every moment with them. He will be remembered as the “favorite uncle” to his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his father, William Ogilvie, Sr. of Lakeland; his son, Ryan and Amanda Ogilvie and their daughters, Aubrey and Hannah, of Lakeland; sister, April Rose and Tony Pitman of Defuniak Springs;; mother of his son, Diane Coon; niece, Aften Ogilvie and Brian Seifert and their children, Brian Jr., Cainen and Aralynn; niece, Audrey and Tyler Bergstrom and their children, Alyssa, Alexxa and Alanna Bergstrom; nephew, Austin and Heather Ogilvie and their son Jacob Ogilvie; nephew, Kevin and Nikki Rose and their children Kevin III, Lilly, and Paislee Rose; niece, Kandi Rose and Jeremy Tramell; niece, Chelsea Rose; and his aunts, Sharon Messer, Magreta “Frances” Howell and Winnie Carole Hayman.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Lee Ogilvie; and brother, Walter “Wally” Ogilvie.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 11, 2015 at graveside in Paxton Cemetery, Paxton, Florida.
