Petty Officer First Class Donald Warren Nall, U.S. Navy Retired, age 71 passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Palmdale Regional Medical Center in California. He was born, September 14, 1947 in Florala, Alabama, the son of Edward Cecil Nall and Mollie Lois Donaldson Nall. He attended Paxton High School where he played basketball and graduated with Paxton’s Class of 1965. All who knew Warren knew that he always spoke his mind, saying what he meant and meaning what he said. If he liked you, and you were his friend there was no limit in what he would do for you, or help you with. One of his greatest joys in life were his nieces and nephew. Warren put great value on his family, his wife, his mother and his sister. Born in Florala, but a Walton County native at heart. He is predeceased by his father and his brother-in-law Dr. Herb Brooks.
Survivors include his wife Mary of Ridgecrest, California. His mother, Lois Nall of DeFuniak Springs, his sister Cynthia Brooks of Bonifay. His niece Erin Brooks Lauen and husband David, Jr. His great nephew and nieces, Tucker Cade Lauen and Arena Coldrey Lauen and Sadie Marie Lauen.
Memorials may be made Warren Nall’s memory to First Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, or Gideons. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in Barrancas National Cemetery on the Pensacola Naval Air Station with Reverend Tim Burnham officiating
