Mr. Warner Evans Seigler, age 55 died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the Emergency Room at Healthmark Regional Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1960 in DeFuniak Springs, the son of Lois Robinson Seigler and Edwin Leroy Seigler. Warner was a lifelong resident of DeFuniak Springs and North Walton County. He attended school at Walton High School and Paxton High School. He loved the seclusion of North Walton County and was a survivalist, living off the game and produce that occurs in nature. He loved his family, his friends and home. In order to live in this area, he took whatever jobs that came along. His family remembers him as having a natural ability when it came to cooking. Never using a “recipe” he could create concoctions using whatever was available at the time, which resulted in gourmet and savory dishes to the delight of his family and friends.
Among survivors are his son, Joseph Seigler. His mother, Lois Gill, his sisters, Beverly and husband Russ and Susie; his brothers, Bob and Robby and wife Brandi. Four grandchildren Taylor, Kaydence, Keria and Kelsey also survive.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Reverend Wilbur Williams officiating. The Family will receive friends an hour prior to funeral time. Burial will follow in Caney Creek/Gill Family Cemetery.
