Mrs. Wanda Faye Bozeman Bearden, age 74 of the Bruce Community passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 in Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 28, 1940 in Bruce, the daughter of Willie Edgar Bozeman and Eva Mae Hare Bozeman, A lifelong resident of the area, many will remember Faye when she owned and operated Bearden’s Grocery with her late husband. When the store closed in the early 80’s Faye began working at Sandpiper Beach Resort, a position she held some twenty years until ill health forced her retirement. Faye was a homemaker, she loved gardening and had a knack for baking some of the finest cakes in the area. She is predeceased by her parents and her daughter, Karen Jean Bearden
Among survivors are her children, Teresa Lea Grandinetti and husband Michael and India Estrada. Her grandchildren, Jenna Faye Estrada and Jordan Adela-Lea Hernandez. Her sisters, Bobbie (Alvin) Floyd, Alene McLeod, Jearldine Drobnick, Diane (Jimmy) Gould and Rhonda (Bruce) Godwin. Her brothers, Joe Bozeman, Douglas (Teresa) Bozeman and Ralph Bozeman.
Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Billy Jones, George McLeod, Scott McLeod, Toby Rushing, Joe Barnes and Jamie Bozeman. Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 10 until 11 A.M. with the funeral beginning at 11 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Chaplain Jeff Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Bruce.
