Una Vae Geoghagan, age 81, a life long resident of the New Harmony Community of Walton County died Thursday, August 27, 2009 in a Bonifay hospital. She was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. She spent her life taking care of her son Bobby and running a very successful business, Una Vae’s Beauty Shop in New Harmony. She was predeceased by her son, Bobby Rae Geoghagan.
Survivors include her brothers, James Delmus Hall and wife Bernice of Pensacola and Andrew Clayton Hall and wife Mary of the Liberty Community. A special niece, Blondell Pridgen, who cared for her in her last months of life and numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.
Private family services are being held in Piney Grove Cemetery near Samson, Alabama.
