Terry Nelson

Mr. Terry Lynn Nelson, age 55 passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born March, 15, 1956 in DeFuniak Springs the son of Sidney and Gennieve Redmon Nelson. Terry was a graduate of Walton Senior High School’s Class of 1974. He worked in many professions, locally, Triple A Truss Company, Florida Transformers, Americana Electronics and most recently Taylor Air Conditioning. Terry loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing and when confined inside he loved watching Westerns.

Among survivors are his wife Abbie Gail Nelson. His son, Jarred Lynn Nelson and wife Jamie. His mother, Gennieve Nelson. His brothers, Clarence, Raymond and wife Joyce, Henry and wife Susie, Wendell and wife Kim, Larry and wife Martha and Jerry and wife Jean. His sister, Gwyn Thomas and husband Truett. The mother of his son, Crystal Ann Scarbrough. His step children, John Spears, Christina McKenney, Katina Spears and Brenda Spears. His grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Haleigh and one on the way, either Carson or Karson. His step grandchildren, Ethan, Erica, Justice and Jessie.

Floral arrangements will be accepted. A time of visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Reverend John Mark Brown and Dr. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
