TEDDY WILCZEWSKI

March 18, 1960 — August 7, 2021

Mr. Teddy Wilczewski, age 61, passed away  Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the family residence.  He was born March 18, 1960 in Kamien Pomorski, Poland the son of Stanislaw Wilczewski and Irena Miniszewska Wilczewski.  Teddy came to the United States at age 3 with his parents and landed at JFK in New York.  He grew up in New York and developed a Bronx accent.  After graduating from high school in New York, he moved with his parents to DeFuniak Springs, Florida because years earlier when the family had landed in New York, there were friends of theirs that had moved to DeFuniak Springs and lived on Kidd Road.  Teddy went to welding school and became a certified welder.  He worked for a time with the saw mill in DeFuniak and out at the chicken plant but in 1986 Teddy and Jackie moved to New Jersey where Teddy worked as a welder and Certified Bounty Hunter.  They moved back to Darlington in 2005 and in 2006 Teddy began working with the Walton County Board of County Commissioners as a welder.    Raised in New York, Teddy was finally  able to shake off those influences and became an avid fan of four important Southern traditions;  GUNS, TRUMP, ELVIS AND WOLVES.   According to the family Teddy was a strong man, he would hold the weight of the world on his shoulders and you would never see him sweat.  He loved his family dearly, he made sure everyone was taken care of before him.  You never doubted his love.  Teddy left an impact on everyone’s lives and he will be missed by so many.  Teddy was a father, son, brother, friend, but most importantly he was the love of Jackie’s life.   He is predeceased by his brother Stefan and his sister Zofia and his nephew Waldemar Jacak who was his best friend.

Among survivors are his wife and best friend, Jackie.  His children, Stormy, Jennifer and wife Rachel,  and Christopher,  his grandchildren, Daisy, Ocean, Caprece, Harmony, Julius, Jesse and Evalynn.  His father-in-law and mother-in-law J. C. and Shirley Adkison.  His sisters-in-law, Darlene Ellison, Sharon Webster and Brenda Webster and husband Clay.  His brothers-in-law Jack Jr. Adkison and wife Sandy, George Adkison and wife Heather.  Numerous nieces and nephews including two special nephews Robert Martin and Henry Kozlowski and a special niece April Kelly also survive.

A time of visitation and remembrance will be Friday The Thirteenth, August 13, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Brother Curtis Manning officiating.  There will be some neck hugging and telling of stories and sharing of memories among Teddy’s family and friends.   Friends may go online to view obituaries, offer condolences and sign the guest register at jerryevansfuneralhome.com
