Mr. Tawayne Paul McCaskill, age 34 died as the result of injuries sustained in an early morning automobile accident, Sunday, March 3, 2013. He was born June 26, 1978 in Panama City, the son of Don A. McCaskill, Sr. and Brenda K. Paul McCaskill. Tawayne was a graduate of Walton High School, graduating with the Class of 1997. Classmates will remember him as a quiet, unassuming guy who loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing and the “Dawg Pound”. After graduation from high school Tawayne graduated from Northwest Florida College on scholarships he had received. He worked two jobs first as a Corrections Officer for the Okaloosa Youth Development Center, and it was this circumstance, in the early morning hours of Sunday last, while driving from one job to begin the second the accident that claimed his life occurred.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Don A. McCaskill, Sr. his siblings, Don A. McCaskill, Jr., Tiffany T. McCaskill and Donnerick McCaskill; two grandmothers, Ms. Mary Haisley Paul and Ms. Alternese Campbell McCaskill; two nieces, Audra and Asia; two nephews, Amos and Brendan and a host of uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. Active casket bearers will be Walton High School Classmates, Honorary casket bearers will be Brethren of Red Bay Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church in Euchee Valley with Minister Nathan Potter officiating. Repast will immediately follow in the fellowship hall. Private interment will be in the McCaskill family plot in Euchee Valley Cemetery.
