Sue Thorn Brack age 79 of DeFuniak Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 28, 2020. Sue was born November 14, 1940 to Ben L. and Katie Bell McCallum Thorn in New Harmony.  She was Baptist by Faith and loyal member of First Baptist Church DeFuniak Springs. Sue was always one that looked for ways to do for others over herself and her Faith in Jesus Christ showed in everything she did.  She never met a stranger and loved visiting and talking with others every chance she got.  She worked with the youth at First Baptist Church for over 35 years making homemade sausage biscuits once a month for youth Sunday School classes for 30 of those years.  She loved her church family and especially singing in the choir.  She was a true servant of God and obedient to Him in all that she did.  Sue was also known as “The Cake Lady” making numerous birthday, wedding, and holiday cakes for over 40 years. Some felt their birthday was not complete without a Miss Sue cake. Sue worked for First National Bank then Sun Trust Bank for 28 years and then the Walton County School District as a bookkeeper for 29 years from March 1990 until her retirement March 2019.  She was a graduate of Paxton School in 1958 and always carried that Bobcat pride in her heart.  Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 38 years Lynn R. Brack, Grandson Alex Brack, Sister Gladys McMillian and Brother Edwin Thorn.

She is survived by her son Greg Brack and wife Janet of DeFuniak Springs, Grandson Thomas Brack (Hayley) of DeFuniak Springs, Three Sisters, Grace Kirkpatrick of Crestview, Jean Geoghagan and husband Hanzel of New Harmony and Carol Kelly of Ft. Walton Beach. One Brother Leonard Thorn and wife Sue of Gaskin.
