Steven Karl Sabe passed away on November 7, 2024. He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on March 20, 1960, to parents Jerry and Marilyn Sabe and spent his childhood years living in Grand Forks, North Dakota then Grafton, Wisconsin where he graduated from Grafton High School in 1977. He also lived for a time in Milwaukee before settling in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Steven served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Marines and served in the USMC Reserves for two years. He was a member of Saint Margaret Catholic Church, and he was active with the AM-VETS as well.
Joining the military, the births of his three sons, and being a hard worker since age twelve were Steven’s most proud accomplishments. Telling stories of his military days is something he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. He was a pet lover, and animals loved him back just as much as he loved them – especially his precious dogs Sweetpea and L.B. Going to car shows with his dad is a memory Steven cherished as it always reminded him of the great times he had helping his father work on classic cars.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, Jerald Sabe, and twin brothers Robert and Michael Sabe also in-laws Donald H. Burns and Delores A. Burns
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Sabe, mother Marilyn Sabe, children Dean (Deborah) Sabe, Jeff Sabe, and Kyle (Stacey) Sabe, and a brother Brian (Karen) Sabe. He also leaves behind grandchildren Ashlynn, Dylan, Colton, Bo, Jo, Maximus, Greyson, and Sawyer, and aunts Beverly Schons, Vickie Renner, Dorthea Richardson, and Rhonda Stromsodt.
Steven will long be remembered as an incredibly hard worker. He was kind and funny, and he was always eager to help anyone who needed it in any ways he could.
