Shirley Anderson

Shirley Beacham Anderson, age 65 of DeFuniak Springs passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 in Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 9, 1946 in DeFuniak Springs the daughter of Leroy and Willie Belle Lawson Caldwell. Shirley Jean, as she was known by her family, graduated from Tivoly with the Class of 1964. Most will remember Mrs. Anderson in her longtime employment with Chautauqua Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was a member of Temple Missionary Baptist Church.

Among survivors are her husband James Anderson, her daughter Linda Dean and husband Leonard; her son Jeff Anderson. Her brothers, Leroy Caldwell and wife Rose, Charles Caldwell and wife Dorothy, Lewis Caldwell and Jeff Caldwell. Her sisters, Jessie Hollingsworth and husband Walker, Carolyn Roulhac and Lisa Caldwell. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Floral arrangements are being accepted. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 41 North 11th Street, DeFuniak Springs with Reverend Earl Tyler officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
