Mrs. Sharon Lee James Cook, age 66 passed away at the family residence Monday,
November 16, 2020. She was born August 2, 1954 in Sardis, Mississippi the daughter
of William Franklin James and Bernice Dora Brennan James. Sharon graduated from
Gulf Breeze High School in the early 70’s, and had moved to Fort Walton Beach where
she met and married her husband Larry Cook. In 1985 she and Larry purchased
property on Tobacco Road where she lived until her passing. She had worked as a
dental receptionist for Dr. Bedow and Dr. Bowen until the practice closed. Sharon
was a Christmas person, her favorite of all holidays. As a result, she loved Christmas
movies and watched them whether it was December of July. She was also an avid Elvis
fan and especially loved his Christmas CD’s. Sharon’s buddies, Monkey, Sassy and
Marty (her cats) were by her side when she passed into life eternal early Monday
morning. Sharon was predeceased by her husband Larry.
Among survivors are her daughter Loretta Thompson and husband Kevin Thompson, II
of Join Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
There will be a gathering of family and friends in Jerry Evans Chapel, Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 2 until 3 P.M.
