SHARON WARD

Sharon Ward, age 71, a resident of Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation Center passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019.  She was born in DeFuniak Springs and attended school in Walton County.  She was the oldest daughter of Sherman and Inez Ward of the Red Bay Community.  Sharon was a member of Westside Baptist Church.  She is predeceased by her father and mother and her brother, Morgan Darrell Smith, Jr. and a special uncle, Kaiser Ward.

Among survivors are her daughter, Carol Mitchell and husband Emery of Mountain City, Tennessee; sisters, Freida Ward and husband Randy of Mary Esther and Lila Clark and husband Jimmy of DeFuniak Springs.  The light of her life, her granddaughter Jessica Mitchell of Mountain City, Tennessee.  Her nephew Randall Ward and wife Cathy of Charlotte, NC; niece Jennifer Ward of Mary Esther and great nephew Tobias Ward-Boulden of Mary Esther and numerous special cousins.

A private graveside service is planned for Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in Red Bay Cemetery.
