She married Henry Martin in 1965 and they were blessed with almost 58 years as husband and wife. Ruth served servicemen and their families as well through her years working at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES).
She was a member of Alaqua Methodist Church, in DeFuniak Springs, where Henry served as pastor for many years.
Ruth loved big. Any time she could spend being with family, she took advantage of it. From playing boardgames with her grandchildren to being a spectator watching them play sports, Ruth was happy to be there giving them her time and attention. Her caring personality and her loving spirit will be treasured in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to be loved by her.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Raymer and Lila Nansel Raymer, sisters Kathryn Raymer and Anna Hughes, and brothers John Raymer, Paul Raymer, and Roy Raymer.
She is survived by her husband Henry J Martin, daughter Peggy Leatherberry (Roger), sons Michael Martin (Sandy) and Christopher Martin (Jaymee), brothers Warren Raymer (Barb) and Virgil Raymer, and sister in law Gerda Raymer. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandbabies.
She will always be remembered as deeply loving and fervently caring. Her family and friends were truly blessed by her.
