Mr. Ricky Hubert Eddins, age 62 passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1957 in Frisco City, Alabama, the son of Hubert and Wanda Lee Nettles Eddins. He attended Monroe Academy and later Alabama Southern, transferring to Auburn University. He remained a die hard Auburn fan for the rest of his life. An avid reader and collector he had mountains of movies, music from the ‘70’s especially anything by Bob Dylan and hundreds if not thousands of books. In his later years, ill health prevailed limiting Ricky in doing a lot of physical activities and his collection gave him hours of enjoyment. He was an animal lover and his Schnauzer “Pippa” and his Chineese Hairless “Pappy” along with his kitten “KitKat” and his goldfish with no name, named “No Name”, kept Ricky occupied and entertained. Ricky was a member of First Baptist Church of Frisco City, Alabama.
Among suvivors are his wife of 24 years, Betty Boatwright Eddins. His brothers, Jerry Eddins and wife Brenda, Larry Eddins and wife Sherry and Ron Eddins.
