Mrs. Nora Middleton Drotleff, age 97 of DeFuniak Springs passed away Friday,
November 26, 2010, in a Crestview healthcare facility. She was born January 27, 1913 in Cleveland Ohio the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Middleton. She attended high school in Cleveland. After high school Nora worked in a variety of jobs and one night at a dance she met her future husband, they were married in 1934. After retirement she moved with her family to Clearwater, Florida, moving later to DeFuniak Springs in 2000. Mrs. Drotleff was an active woman up into her golden years. She was an avid golfer and golfing fan; if she was not playing the sport she was watching it on television. After she went to live in assisted living and long term care facilities she would often times entertain the residents and staff when she would break out dancing.
Among survivors are her son Andrew Drotleff and wife Hazel of DeFuniak Springs. Her grandchildren, Denise Lynn Johnston and husband Don; Andrew Drotleff, III and wife Tonya and David Drotleff and wife Christine. Five great grandchildren and “one on the way” also survive.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. Services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Pastor David King officiating. Interment will be in Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens in Palm Harbor, Florida.
