Michelle Godfrey

Mrs. Michelle Lee Morris Godfrey, age 40 of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at the family residence, after a ten year battle with ovarian cancer. Michelle was born March 11, 1970 the daughter of Jeffrey James Morris and Cathy Diane White Morris. After graduating from Niceville High School Michelle served her country aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln with the United States Navy. She is predeceased by her son John Kelly Godfrey.

Among survivors are her husband, Lee F. Godfrey of Claremore; son Joshua Lee Godfrey; daughter Amanda L. Freeman; son Christopher C. Godfrey and her brother Larry Wilton Morris of Des Moines, Iowa; her grandmother Floried White, aunts Marilyn White, uncle John White all of DeFuniak Springs. Joan Desruisseaux of Fort Walton Beach and aunt Brenda Canneto of New Jersey. Her mother-in-law Dona Onyett; sister in law Rebecca Andrews and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michelle was a member of the DeFuniak Springs Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. The family requests that all in attendance of the viewing and service feel free to wear anything of either teel or turquoise clothing and/or jewelry in support of the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Organization of which both Michelle and her husband Lee are members.

Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Eastern Star Service beginning at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in Jerry Evans Chapel. Burial will follow in Mossy Head Cemetery.
