Mary Catherine Davis

Mary Catherine Davis passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2023.  Born in Biloxi, Mississippi on December 8, 1964, to parents Victor and Shirley Silvestri, Mary spent her days living in DeFuniak Springs, Valparaiso, and Andalusia.

She married William Terry Davis in 1984.   Her children and grandchildren were most definitely her prized possessions.  She treasured the time she got to spend with her children and grandchildren.  Mary also loved swimming.  She was always on the lookout for a good place to swim, and the beach was one of her favorite places.  In her remaining free time, she enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, and sewing.

Many will remember her from her time spent as the manager of the Gitty-Up-N-Go in Andalusia.  Whether at work or play, Mary was known as The Boss.  She was bold and was in charge!  Her hard-headedness served as a strength and was balanced out by her heart of gold that enabled her to be thoughtful of the needs of those she came into contact with.

Mary is survived by her husband Terry Davis, mother Shirley Silvestri, children Jarvis Davis, Will Davis, and Theresa Stinson, grandchildren Katie Davis, Alexis Todd, Brian Davis, Courtnie Davis, Ryan Davis, Renesmee Davis, Jax Davis, and Stormy Bass.  Also surviving are her sisters Rosie Taylor, Diane Nicometo, Sylvia Joyner, Jeanene Darling, Andrea Silvestri, and Summer Reeves, and brother Ralph Silvestri.

She is preceded in death by her father Victor Ralph Silvestri.
