Marcus Allen Anderson

Marcus Allen Anderson passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2023.  Born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida on January 21, 1991, he was the third of four sons born to Larry Anderson and Kim Pennington Anderson.  A lifelong resident of DeFuniak Springs, he graduated from Walton High School and worked at C & M Contracting.

Marc had a smile that would light up a room, and, with his friendly personality, he never met a stranger.  He loved any opportunity he had to ride around with his dog Daisy, and he was sure any time he could spend bass fishing was time well spent.  He also savored time he spent with family and friends, and he loved to eat as much as he loved to cook.  Marc would say the greatest accomplishment of his life was becoming a father.  He treasured every minute of time he got to spend time with his girls.

Marc will be long remembered as a happy young man who worked very hard and who was always able to make people laugh.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Archie Gene and Ilavay Anderson, and his maternal grandfather Lloyd F. Pennington.

He is survived by his parents Larry Anderson (Kathy) and Kim Anderson, his three brothers - Matthew, Michael, and Mason (Cristen) Anderson, his daughters Harper and Finley, maternal grandmother Sherrie Pennington and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive visitors from 9:00-10:00AM, Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Evans-McDonald Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will begin at 10:00AM and Graveside Service will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
