Lois Wilma Moss Brown

Mrs. Lois Wilma Moss Brown, age 85, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016. Wilma, as she was known, was born November 15, 1930 in Ponce de Leon, Florida to Mr. Henry Lymon Moss and Susie Annie Godwin Moss. She graduated from Ponce de Leon High School with the class of 1950. On October 28 she married her high school sweetheart, the late Floyd Brown, and shortly after moved to DeFuniak Springs. There Wilma was employed with the City of DeFuniak Springs and held that position until her retirement. During that time she was active in First Baptist Church and stayed involved with the community until the early 2000s, when she moved to Bluewater Bay to be close to her family. At the age of 70, she took up golf and continued to stay busy with family activities.

Those left behind are her brother, Duron Moss and wife Sylvia, her sister, Babe Moore, daughters Wanda Brown Basha and husband George, Barbara Brown Trimm and husband David, grandchildren Ken, Erin and husband Jack, Nicholas, and Rachel, great-grandchildren Jackson, Isabella, Kirra and Melody. Special family friends include Floyd Skinner and Cindy Chandler Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wilma's name to the Pilot Club of DeFuniak Springs Friendship House BDSF, 353 Juniper Lake Drive, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433.

A special thank you to her loving caregivers at Emerald Coast Center and Hospice of Okaloosa County.
A private family service will be held at a later date. The Lord has taken another angel home.
