LAURA KAY LORENZ AMMONS

Mrs. Laura Kay Lorenz Ammons, age 54 of Mossy Head passed away Wednesday, December 15 2021 at the family residence surrounded by her family.  She was born December 22,1966 in Dover, Delaware the daughter of Kenneth Julius Lorenz and Martha Pearl Lorenz.  She attended Walton County public schools and graduated from Walton High School in the mid 80's.  After high school she was employed with Showell Farms and met her future husband, Larry, who was a supervisor at Showell.   A devoted Elvis fan, Laura enjoyed watching cooking shows on television along with Family Feud.  She was known by family and friends alike for her Lasagna and even taught her husband how to prepare it.    Laura was an active member of Mossy Head Baptist Church and served in many capacities in the church.  She is predeceased by her father, Kenneth Lorenz and her brother James Ray Lorenz.

Among survivors are her husband Larry Ammons, her children, Christina Robbins,  Amber Ammons and Cameron and William Ammons.  Her grandchildren, Tyson and Faythe, her mother, Martha Lorenz, her brother Donald Lorenz and her sister Teresa Williams and Jim also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in First Assembly of God Church of DeFuniak Springs with Brother Eric Bryan officiating.  Burial will follow in Mossy Head Cemetery.    Friends and family may go on line to view obituaries, offer condolences and sign the guest register at jerryevansfuneralhome.com
