KRISTINA "KRIS" ORME GODWIN

Mrs. Kris Godwin, age 53 of Ponce deLeon passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Ponce deLeon.  She was born January 21, 1967 in Homestead, Florida the daughter of Gerald Leroy Orme, Sr. and Joyce Wollam.   Kris attended school in Homestead and later in Fort Walton Beach while growing up.  It was while living in Fort Walton Beach Kris met and married her husband Eddie.  They lived in Fort Walton, then Santa Rosa Beach, later moving to Bruce where they lived some twelve years before ending up in Ponce deLeon.  She loved being outside and being around the lakes and streams and ponds of Northwest Florida and was known to be the complete fisherwoman.  She would catch them, clean them, cook them along with all the trimmings and her family famous coleslaw and was also good at eating them.  Favorite of all things to her were her grandbabies who knew her as Nanna.   Kris is predeceased by her father, Gerald Leroy Orme, Sr., her brother Jerry and her brother-in-law Ray and her sister-in-law Edna.

Among survivors are her husband, Eddie Godwin; her children Cassie Young and David Hopper and Nathan Godwin.  Her grandchildren, David, Davian, Dawson and Jayce; her brother Michael Orme and Cindy; Her mother, Joyce Wollam and her sister-in-law Barbara Godwin and  James and her brothers-in-law, Terry Godwin and Diane and Travis Godwin.

A time of visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 10 until 11 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel with Brother Frank Dibattiste officiating.  Friends and family may go on line to view obituaries, offer condolences and sign the guest register at jerryevansfuneralhome.com
