Kenneth Pryor

Mr. Kenneth Ray Pryor, age 66 passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at his residence in Paxton, Florida. He was born February 11, 1944 in Darlington, the son of Chapman Pryor and Nolie Moore Pryor. Mr. Pryor was employed by the City of Florala for a number of years, later he worked as a sheet metal mechanic in the aircraft industry. Kenneth, coming from a large family enjoyed spenidng time with his brothers and sisters and their spouses. Later in years he would while away the hours with his brothers-in-law, Preston Spears, Joe Walker and Yankee Emond where each would try to outdo the other in sharing amazing stories, often embellished to add more shock factor, none of which ever had even a ring of truth. Never-the-less it was quality time spent,each enjoying being with the others. Kenneth spent many hours in his last days in the company of his best friend and companion Gypsy , his black dashund. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Alfred Pryor and is sister Jewell Walker.

Among survivors are his brother, John Glendle Pryor of Paxton, his sisters, Shirley Sue Spears of Darlington and Mary Emond of DeFuniak Springs.

Those asked to serve as caskebearers include Hayward Thomas, Jerry Simmons, David Goldsmith, Chris Thomas, Adam Bryant and Bill Rushing. Honorary casketbearers will be Wayne Jackso, Johnny Roy Thomas and Kenneth Peacock.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Reverends Dewayne Geoghagan and Dan Mickle officiating. Burial will follow in Limestone Cemetery.
