Mr. Kenneth Lynn Coffey, age 62 of the New Harmony Community of Walton County passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. He was born November 23, 1955 in Brewton, Alabama, the son of Harvey B. and Ouida Viveene Davidson Coffey. Kenny was best known for being a man whose kindness reached no limits. His passion for helping crossed over into his career as “the water man”. The first name to come from anyone’s mouth in need of the one thing man can’t live without was Kenny Coffey. Kenny also loved to fish and those fish in his pond provided many many hours for him to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed feeding them just as much as he enjoyed catching them. Kenneth would want, more than anything to be remembered as a man who defined what it means to be reliable, honest, trustworthy and a man everyone will always remember as a friend.
He is predeceased by his father and his brother, Doyle Coffey.
Among survivors are his son, Michael Coffey; his daughter Shelia Lee and husband Chris; his mother Ouida Coffey; his brother Gregory Coffey and wife Penny; his sisters, Joyce Farmer and husband Wade and Carrol Shaw and husband Johnnie; his grandchildren, Brandon, Breanna, Hayden and Grayson also survive.
Among those asked to serve as pallbearers are Ron Shaw, Danny Shaw, Kevin Russell, Kelby Russell, Brandon Lee, Jesse Davidson, Jason Davidson and Caleb Davidson.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 10 until 11 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Jim Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Fellowship Church Cemetery.
