JOSHUA LAWAYNE EVANS

April 16, 1984 — August 14, 2018

Mr. Joshua Lawayne Evans, age 34 passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  He was born April 16, 1984 in Augusta, Georgia the son of Jack Gary Evans III and Angela Baughman Hall.  Those who knew Josh knew of his helpful nature, always ready and able to help friends and acquaintances and was a family man. In his effort to be of service to his fellowman he was a volunteer fireman working with several departments over the years, Pinelog, Ponce deLeon and most recently Argyle Fire Departments.   He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing and grilling food, didn’t matter what kind of food, if it was food he believed it could be grilled; those who enjoyed his latest feat, Grilled Cabbage admitted it was not half bad.   He was a Johnny Cash man and loved any music, country or rap, as long as you could “feel” the music.  Joshua owned his own company, and could and would do any handyman chores in order to provide for his family.  He is predeceased by his parents.

Among survivors are his wife, Terri “Tia” Redmon/Evans.  His son, Joshua Lawayne Evans, Jr.  His daughters, Nadia Jade Evans and Preslie Redmon/Evans.  His brother, Jack Evans and wife Shelby, his sisters, Tonya Michelle Evans, Saleane Rose Stoflet and Heather Hall.   His uncles, Jim Evans and wife Stacie and Toby Evans and wife Catherine.  His nieces and nephews, Kelly, Nickey,  Destiny, Shawn, Devon, Carly, Harmonie, Emmalee, Melody, Serenity, Hunter, Kypten, Cole and Tinzleigh also survive.

A Celebration of Life, an informal gathering of friends and acquaintances and fellow firemen and family will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at high noon in Jerry Evans Chapel.  Neck hugging and sharing stories about Joshua will bring comfort and solace to family and friends alike.
