Joseph Sean Kollmer

Joseph Sean Kollmer passed away in a car accident on I-10 near mile marker 61 on Friday, March 1, 2024. He would have celebrated his 40th birthday later this month on March 21.

His biggest accomplishments in life were defeating addiction, having three beautiful children, and having a family that truly loved him unconditionally.

He leaves behind his fiancé Lauren Gauvey, daughter Haylee Mae Gauvey-Kollmer, sons Brian Joseph Hallett and Jordan Dunne Hallett, his father, George Kollmer, sisters Christina Feye and Jessica Pickett, biological mother Cathie Anderson, and biological father Jeffrey Daugherty.  He is preceded in death by his brother John Kollmer.

Joseph had a great ability to make people laugh and his extremely caring nature was a gift to all who knew him.  He was always willing to help anyone in need, was a true friend, and loved unreservedly.  His intelligence, heart of gold, loyalty, and strong will helped him to be the true survivor he was – surviving all the hardships he endured in his lifetime.  He will always be remembered as a true overcomer.
