John Pryor

Mr. John Pryor, age 75 of Paxton passed away at the family residence Friday, December 17, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was born August 8, 1935 in Darlington the son of Chapman and Nolie Moore Pryor. Mr. Pryor worked in the construction industry for most of his productive years. He was a member of Concerned Christian Church. He was preceeded in death by his parents, his son, John Gary Pryor, his brothers, Alfred Pryor and Kenneth Pryor and his sister, Jewel Walker.

Among survivors are his son, James Gaston Pryor, his sisters, Shirley Sue Spears of Darlington and Mary Emond of DeFuniak Springs. His sister-in-law, Carrie Pryor of Glendale and a very loving and caring companion and caretaker, Audory Bryan and son Adam. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Floral arrangements are being accepted. Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Adam Bryan, Willie Whitehurst, Junior Pryor, Ted Pryor, Hayward Thomas, Travis Parker and David Goldsmith. A time of visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2010 beginning at 10:00 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Wayne White officiating. Burial will follow in Limestone Cemetery.
