Joel Blake Cromartie

Joel Blake Cromartie died June 1, 2015 in Crestview, Florida. He was born September 21, 1920 in Miccosukee, Florida and had lived in DeFuniak Springs since 1949. He was a veteran of World War II, a graduate of The University of Florida and retired as District Conservationist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Floyd Cromartie, his daughter, Dale Ellen Cromartie, his son, Joel Blake Cromartie, Jr. and wife Jacqueline and his grandsons, Justin Blake Cromartie and Carson Blake Cromartie.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 5, 2015 from 1:00 until 2: 00 P.M. with the service beginning at 2:00 P.M.in Jerry Evans Chapel. There will be a
time of refreshment immediately following the service at The Corner Café (Mamies).
