Jimmy Ray Brown

Mr. Jimmy Ray Brown, age 69 of DeFuniak Springs passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at the family residence. He was born December 4, 1939 in DeFuniak Springs the son of Sam Glenn Brown and Faye Bell Williams Brown. A twelve year veteran of the United States Navy, Jimmy Ray had been employed as a field representative for Showell Farms. He was a member of US Submarine Veterans Seawolf Base; VFW Post 4437 and Amvets Post 178.

Among survivors are wife, Michele Rae Nelson Brown. A daughter Donna Cobb and husband Daniel. His stepchildren, Randy Amerson, Penny Stevens, Tammy Day, Donna Boland, Melissa Goolsby, Lisa Larrick, Ana Vo, Sharon Pittman and Jeanie Miller. His sister, Betty Karpe and his brother Glenn Brown and wife Betty.

Floral arrangments are being accepted or memorials may be made in Jimmy Ray Brown’s memory to Emerald Coast Hospice. A time of visitation will be Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
