Biography

Mr. Henry Cook, age 96 of the Center Ridge Community of Walton County passed away Wednesday morning, November 3, 2010 in Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 30, 1914 in Walton County, the son of Frank and Effie Spears Cook. Mr. Cook was a member of Center Ridge Methodist Church. He is predeceased by his wife Ruby Estelle Davis Cook, his son-in-law Melvin McInnis and his daughter-in-law Mary Catherine Herring Cook.

Among survivors are his son, James Cook and wife Kris; Edward Cook and wife Janet and daughter Bernice Brazile and husband Gerald. His sister-in-law Elsie Davis. His grandchildren, Beth Griffith and husband Philip; Tonya Miller and husband Josh; Jimmy Cook and wife Serena; Kurt McInis and wife Lori; Tina Howell and husband Michael; Tara Cook and Ken McInnis and wife Miranda. Eleven grandchildren, and “one on the way”, Little Henry Curtis .

Floral arrangements are being accepted or memorials may be made in Henry Cook’s memory to Center Ridge United Methodist Church. A time of visitation will be Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in Center Ridge United Methodist Church with Reverend Jimmy Cook and Reverend Kurt McInnis officiating. Burial will follow in Center Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
