Geraldine W. Henderson, age 85, a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away at home, Sunday, July 2, 2017. Ms. Henderson worked for many years as a house director for the PHI KAPPA PSI Fraternity at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA until she retired in 2010. She moved to Daphne, AL in 2014 to reside with her daughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Luck Wainwright and Vivian Hixon Littlefield; sons, Graylan Henderson and Eric Henderson; grandsons, Ryan Hofstetter and Chad Henderson; sisters, Ruth Wainwright and Opal Donaldson, and brothers, Douglas Wainwright and Roy Wainwright.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Hofstetter, her son, Larrid (Ann) Henderson; her sister, Delores “Polly” Salter. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ashley (Will) Hill, Todd (Jiuli) Hofstetter, Shaun (Rhianna) Hofstetter, Alicia (Daryl) Goddin and Natalie Henderson; fifteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with Reverend Phil McMillian officiating.
