Genevieve Collins

Mrs. Genevieve Collins, age 85 of DeFuniak Springs passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at her home. She was born February 22, 1925 in Walton County, the daughter of Will and Mary Catherine "Kate" Wright Infinger. Most will remember Genevieve in her thirty-two year employment with the Walton County Property Appraiser's Office where she worked with Mr. Will Kelly, Mr. Hubert Adkinson and successors to that office. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and fellowship with family and friends. She was a life long member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church where she loved going to Sunday School and church. She will be best remembered for helping people in time of need. She is predeceased by her husband Johnnie Collins and three brothers, Hubert, Herman and Cecil Infinger.
Among survivors are many nephews, nieces and cousins and many many close friends and church family.
The family has requested NO FLOWERS. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Collins memory to Covenant Hospice, 370 West Redstone Drive, Crestview, Florida 32536.
A time of visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 9 until 10 A.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel with the funeral beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Reverend David Wilson and a eulogy by Kermit Wright. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery
