Elaine B. Skelton

Mrs. Elaine B. Skelton, age 86 passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. She was born February 12, 1931 in Kawnpore, India, the daughter of Alex and Lorna Matcher O’Rourke. She was a graduate of the University of Cambridge and in 1953 she met and married Joseph R. Skelton who was stationed with the United States Air Force in England. They moved to the states and from 1973 until 1997 Elaine worked as a manager with the Pasco County State’s Attorney’s Office. Her husband retired from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department and they both travelled extensively. After her husband passed away, and in declining health she moved to DeFuniak Springs to live with her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Skelton of DeFuniak Springs.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
