Donna Redmon

Mrs. Donna Miller Redmon, age 60 of Ponce deLeon passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 5, 1949 in Panama City, Florida the daughter of Roland Edward and Hazel Miller. She was raised in Panama City and attended Bay High graduating with the Class of 1967. After graduation she married Nolan Redmon in 1971 and was employed at Long Beach Super Market until she and Nolan moved to Ponce deLeon. After working at Winn-Dixie for a time she was employed by DeFuniak Springs Wal-Mart where she was employed some twenty one years until her death. Donna loved her job at Wal-Mart because she was able to interact with so many people everyday, not only fellow employees but customers who often came to the store just because of her. Her love of people shown upon her face with the radiant smile you would see every time you met her. In her spare time she loved her computer where, amazingly, she would sign on to the Wal-Mart website. Donna loved her
family, her friends and her position at Wal-Mart Stores.
Among survivors are her husband Nolan Redmon, their daughter Sherry Whittaker and husband Albert of Salina, Kansas. Her brothers Donald Wayne Miller and wife Virginia of West Bay; Charles Ray and wife Catherine of Gaskin and Walter Ray and wife Joan of Red Bay. Her sister Eva Hendrix and husband Bill of Enterprise. Her grandchildren Christine, Brittany and Kimberly and her great grandchildren, Angel and Kendal. A special cousin Lynette Bullock and husband Herman of Panama City also survives.
Floral arrangements are being accepted. A time of visitation will be Wednesday July 29, 2009 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. An additional hour of visitation will be one hour prior to funeral time. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 2:00P.M. in West Bay Advent Christian Church near Panama City with Reverend Roger Barker and Reverend Wayne Clanton officiating. A committal service will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. in New Ponce deLeon Cemetery
