DONALD CHARLES MOOERS, JR.

Mr. Don “Junior” Moores passed away at the family residence Friday, September 29, 2017. He was born May 6, 1964 in Nuremberg, Germany, the son of Donald Charles Mooers, Sr. and Barbara Birdwell Mooers. After graduating from high school, Junior worked in transport for a Mobile Home Company, a position he held for some twenty years. He was always fascinated with technology and was a computer whiz. His other passion was carpentry and woodworking, a craft which he mastered. He is predeceased by his uncles, Marvin Everett Birdwell, Jr., Robert Earl Birdwell and Frank Ernest Birdwell and wife Theresa.
Among survivors are his parents, Donald and Barbara Mooers, his aunts and uncles, Gary Mooers and wife Jane, Nancy Sawyer, Charles Birdwell, Clarissa Birdwell Holloway and Emma Lou Birdwell. Numerous cousins also survive.
Among those asked to serve as pallbearers are Tony Sunday, Jason Williams, Zane W. Sunday, Rand Lloyd, Brock Birdwell and Joshua Birdwell. Floral arrangements are being accepted. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the church Junior was baptized, Glendale Baptist Church, 9860 Hwy 83, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, with Reverend Wilbur Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Creek Cemetery.
