Mrs. Darlene Raye Worby Pshena passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the family residence. She was born in Long Beach, California, October 9, 1937, the daughter of Raymond and Gloria Cornog Worby. While living in Tampa, Florida, Darlene met Robert Pshena and three years later they were married. She was employed with the U. S. Department of Labor as an administrator and after the financial crisis of 2008 she and her husband moved to DeFuniak Springs when she was transferred to the Bluewater Bay office. She stayed employed there until that office was going to be consolidated into Fort Walton Beach, and at age 78 the commute from DeFuniak on a daily basis was too much so Darlene retired. This afforded her time to catch up on her "shows", her favorites being the Wednesday night Chicago shows and This is Us . Her days were kept busy spoiling and taking care of their rescue cat "Misty".
Among survivors are her husband, Robert Pshena. Her son, Frank Azzaratta and wife Colleen; her daughter Christina Regar. Her grandchildren, Melissa and husband Matt, Frankie, Michael and wife Lindsey, Vincent and Brian. Her great grandchildren, Luna and Kaliopy. (Interesting footnote: the name Kaliopy is the name of the music a Merry-Go-Round makes). Her sister Sandy and her brother Raymond also survive.
It was Darlene's wish to be cremated. The family is planning a private service.
