BOBBY KEITH ADKISON

October 29, 1940 — February 7, 2019


Mr. Bobby Keith Adkison, age 78 passed away Thursday evening in West Florida Hospital Covenant Care.    He was born October 29, 1940 in Quincy, Florida, the son of David Lee Adkison and Mattie Estelle Brown Adkison.  He was a graudate of Walton High School, graduating with the Class of 1960.  He served his country in the United States Air Force with a tour of duty in View Nam.  After military service, he was employed with Monsanto in Pensacola until his retirement.   Upon retirement he came to the home he built in Gaskin where he enjoyed deer hunting with his nephews and friends.  He loved tending to his yard, flowers and fruit trees.  Those who knew Bobby knew he enjoyed teasing people he loved and many have stories to be remembered about him.

Among survivors are his siblings, Billy Adkison of Tennessee, Jackie Hollinghead of Texas, Diane Faye Register of Florida and Derlie Adkison Brown of Florida.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends and family will gather in Jerry Evans Chapel Tuesday, February 12, 2018 from 10 until noon to share stories and remembrances and about Noon those who wish will drive up to Gaskin Cemetery where Bobby will be laid to rest in the Adkison Family Plot.   Reverend Richard Murray will be at graveside to offer scripture and brief comforting words and a prayer.
