Mr. Bob Kennedy Ingram, Jr. age 59 of DeFuniak Springs passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 in Healthmark Regional Medical Center. He was born January 23, 1951 in Panama City, the son of Bob K. Ingram, Sr. and Leona White Ingram. Bobby was born with a life threatening handicap, a malady that claimed most babies lives during the early fifties, however, the constant attention and love of his mother and father and the strong will to live that Bobby possessed gave his life normalcy. With the birth of his brother and sisters Bobby was surrounded with people that loved and cared for him. The Ingrams moved to DeFuniak Springs where Bob, Sr. began Ingram Memorial Company, a branch of the same successful company he had operated in Panama City and Bobby was a part of the day to day operation of the business. Bobby learned excellent “people skills” from his father and developed a loving and caring attitude for all people, a trait he learned from his mother. Bobby met and married his wife Frances who recently predeceased him. After the death of his father and when his mother was in declining health, they both became residents of Stanley House where Bobby quickly captured the hearts of the residents and staff. Bobby was faced with almost insurmountable odds during his life, but because of his mother and his father and brothers and sisters, his was a life of love and caring, hard work and sharing, laughter and sadness, good times and bad, he lived every moment of it with determination and appreciation.
Among survivors are his brother, Malcom “Mac” Ingram and wife Marie. His sisters, Brenda Ingram Perez and husband Rene. Kelly Dale Thompson and husband Eddie. His aunts, Penny Ingram, Viona White Frazier. Gladys Fountain and Lucille Mitchell. His nieces and nephews, Amanda, Jason, Marianne, Jennifer, Mac “Coot” Jr., Andrews, Tiffany, Daniel, Stone and Cliff and seven great nieces and nephew, Zoie, Bella, Ava, Mackenzie, Alec, Lacey and Caleb.
