Betty Ann Nowling Anderson

Betty Ann Anderson, age 72, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013 with her husband and her children present. She was born April 23, 1940 in DeFuniak Springs, the daughter of Alec and Willie Abner Mae Nowling. Although she spent twenty four years living all over the world with her Air Force husband and children, she considered herself a lifelong resident of Walton County. This was confirmed when they returned home to Choctaw Beach, Florida after Andy’s retirement in 1976. She spent her life instilling values in her family, fellowshipping with members of her beloved Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, gardening and providing love and care for others. In so much as she worked at the Twin City Pavilion for ten years caring for senior residents. Betty and Andy moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 2008 at the behest of all four children.

Betty is survived by her husband of fifty six years, SMSGt (Ret.) Donald M. “Andy” Anderson; sons, Guy Anderson; Chad Anderson and wife, Micker; daughters, Sandy Anderson; Kelly Anderson Millerd and husband, Seth; brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Doris Anderson; sister-in-law, Maryann Chapman, brother-in-law Robert Chambers; ten grandchildren; Michael, Shauna and husband, Chad; Chad, Jr. and wife, Kate; Chante’, Christopher, Bryce, Russell, Nathaniel, Preston and Grace; ten great grandchildren, Zander, Faith, Chloe, Collen, Savannah, Abbigail, Kamdon, Penelope, Gavin and Vanessa

A time of visitation will be held in Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. A second receiving will be held in Jerry Evans Chapel in DeFuniak Springs, FL from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 18, 2013 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in DeFuniak Springs, FL with Bishop Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
