Anton John Geiger, Jr

Mr. John Geiger, Jr. age 50 of DeFuniak Springs passed away late Saturday night at the family residence. He was born August 3, 1962 in Rome, New York the son of Anton John Geiger, Sr. and Marion Patricia Wheelihan Geiger. John attended Walton Senior High School where he was a member of the Braves Marching Band. After high school he was employed in the construction industry as a concrete finisher. A very quiet and private person, John was a fan of talk radio and enjoyed raising and caring for horses on his dad’s ranch. He is predeceased by his mother and his brother, Robert Geiger. He was Roman Catholic by faith.

Among survivors are his father, Anton Geiger, Sr. and his sister-in-law Debbi Spencer Geiger.

A commendation of John’s life was held Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Saint Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church. A celebration of his life will be held for John’s family at a later date.
