Anicia Sullivan

Mrs. Anicia “Ann” Sullivan, age 85, of DeFuniak Springs passed away April 2, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born December 30, 1924 in the Philippines. Ann and her husband moved to DeFuniak Springs in 1962. She was a member of Saint Margaret Catholic Church and was active in the Pilot Club, Healthmark Regional Center Auxiliary “Blue Angels”, and the Ladies Guild at Saint Margaret. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and enjoyed traveling, cooking her delicious Filipino meals for her family and friends, and cheering on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Sullivan and is survived a sister, Benedicta Ignacio and by six children: Patrick Sullivan and his wife Joyce of Wichita, Kansas, Eugene Sullivan and his wife Laura of Mobile, Alabama, Christine Sullivan and Bob Young of Jackson, California, Anicia Biglow and her husband Terry of Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Sullivan Jr. and his wife Laura of Leonardtown, Maryland, and Judy Bayer and her husband Mike of Clifton Park, New York. Fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Sullivan’s memory to Saint Margaret Catholic Church Ladies Guild, 247 US Highway 331N, DeFuniak Springs, FL, 32433 or for mass intentions at a church of your choice.

A time of visitation will be Friday, April 9, 2010 from 6 until 8 P.M. in Jerry Evans Chapel. A mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Margaret Catholic Church in DeFuniak Springs with Reverend Rick Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
